From providing you with a pool of talent you can choose from for your project, to a platform you can advertise your specific requests to, Gooby is 100% free. But to ensure the operation of the platform, we take a 5% commission fee from every order you finalize! 

It depends on the seller and your agreed time of delivery. It can be anything from an hour to a couple of weeks, depending on the scope and difficulty of the task and the agreed-upon time of delivery. 

We suggest you first communicate your grievances to the freelancer; clear and honest communication can go a long way. Misunderstandings can always happen, after all, it’s a natural part of any human interaction! If you still feel dissatisfied or have issues with the freelancer, send a mail to [email protected] and we will try our best to resolve the issue at hand. 

A request must be sent by mail to [email protected] for cancellation. The resolution center will handle the issue, and make a decision afterwards. You may cancel an order within 3 days after the order is received. 

Make sure you include the following information in the email: 

  1. Name of the gig 
  2. Seller username  
  3. Attach what has been delivered and the details of your job request. 

 

Our Terms of Service sufficiently protect you from breaches of confidentiality and unauthorized usage or misuse of the platform by others. The escrow system we have in place also protects you from scams or fraudulent action; the freelancer will not receive their payment until you are satisfied with the delivery per your initial agreement. Yes, you can use the same account as both a Freelancer and a Client. To switch between the two, follow the steps below: 

  • On the website, hover over your profile icon, located in the top right corner of the header, and press on the client/freelancer toggle.  

  • On mobile, you can log in with your account in either the Gooby for Freelancers or Gooby for Clients app. 

On the website, locate and click on “+ Post a Job Request” in the top right of your header. On the Gooby for Clients app, find the (+) in the bottom center of the screen. Press it, then fill in the required information! 

On the website, locate and choose the gig you are interested in. We strongly advise you to communicate with the freelancer by pressing “Chat” prior to making the order. Otherwise, simply press “Choose This Gig” and follow through with the process. 

Gooby is designed to ensure the safety of clients and freelancers. Our Terms of Service protects you from any misuse or unauthorized usage of the platform. If you would like a freelancer to sign specific documents before proceeding with the order, such as a non-disclosure agreement, you can send them through to the freelancer via the chat function. Note that the signing of said document is under the discretion of the freelancer and is not mandatory.  

Gooby’s rating and review system allows you to peer into the freelancer’s capabilities insofar as their gigs on Gooby are considered. Some of our freelancers has an existing portfolio set-up in their profiles. If you are dealing with a freelancer who is new to the platform, you can request previous work/samples from them, which they can share via chat messages.  

Our escrow system works in the favor of both freelancers and clients. Freelancers receive their payment only once you, the client, are satisfied with the result per your initial agreement.
